HISTORY CONTRIBUTORS
Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad 49
Founded in 1952, the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad is synonymous with our town. They've also been very prolific at taking photographs throughout the years, not only capturing all manners of accidents and emergencies, but a time capsule of Laurel itself. John Floyd had been digitizing the Squad's massive collection of vintage photos for over three years when he sadly passed away in 2020. The Laurel History Boys located and returned the archive to Squad 49, and are proud to share a sampling of their incredible library of images here.
