HISTORY CONTRIBUTORS

Ken Boyer

Ken grew up in Laurel in the 1950s, where his family was prolific with their camera—capturing many of Ken's childhood moments at Laurel Elementary School, including teachers and lunch ladies. From the family car, they also shot some of the only color photos we've seen to date of Main Street and the then-new Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Ken is a frequent contributor to Voices of Laurel, writing the popular "Memories of Laurel by an Almost Native" column.
